The company was founded by two entrepreneurs, Sergei Nagorny and Gennady Barzdun, in 2003.
The idea was to provide Kharkov ophthalmological clinics with a better way to operate by supplying them with the high quality Alcon ophthalmological products directly, which helped to streamline the supply, address logistics and warehouse questions for such.
The idea proved to be successful, as over the first year the company significantly increased its turnover, expanded the product range and the customer base. In 2004 Medlens Ltd. was incorporated, and signed the first international contract, and became the official distributor and a partner with Alcon, one of the leading US manufacturers of ophthalmological products.
Our customers value the confidence that we give them — uncompromised quality of the products that we deliver and reliability, along with the excellent logistics and individual approach to their needs.
This allowed the company to grow further and expand its services to other major cities and regions in Ukraine, such as Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Sumy, Poltava and Kiev regions.
In the result of growth and expansion, in 2007 the company was rebranded to Medlens Optics Ltd., and at the moment operates as a national distributor for Alcon, and is one of the leading suppliers of ophthalmological products and equipment in Ukraine.
Medlens Optics Ltd. offers a wide range of ophthalmic surgical products – equipment for cataract, vitreoretinal and refractive surgery, intraocular lenses for cataract treatment and astigmatism, viscoelastics, and more.
